The Herfsakker old age home has various sections that accommodate older persons that are not dependent on sub-acute nursing care but need physical and emotional support and supervision. These residents are accommodated in single rooms with panic buttons that are linked with the nurse's station. Although these residents are not in need of daily nursing care, the nursing team on a daily basis monitors their condition.
Herfsakker has an activity programme which a professional nurse and a group of volunteers coordinate. The purpose of the activity programme is to facilitate active ageing and to promote the social, emotional, physical and spiritual well being of our residents.
